Spring Cleaning For Your Face #2: Cleansing Towelettes ***Prize***
There are times when I’m so tired at night that cleaning my face seems is the last thing I want to do. However I know to never go to sleep with my make up on. Months ago after a long fun day at the New Orleans Romantic Times book convention Colleen pulled out some eye makeup wipes and handed one to me. Simple Eye Make-Up Remover Towelettes The little soft disc was a small piece of heaven. It removed all my eye make up! (It took two for Colleen, but that’s because she had glittery eye liner on) What a …
Spring Cleaning for your Face with a Clairsonic Mia 2
I have tried many different face scrubs out of a tube or bottle, and a few different powered face cleansing systems. I want to tell you about the various powered cleansing systems I’ve tried. 1st I started off with an Olay Fresh Effects Powered Contour Cleansing System. It cost right around $10.00 with a coupon and sale and I took it home to try out. It’s cute, it’s small, but it’s a little rough. I didn’t feel my face was much cleaner but it was fun to use. So I gave it to my daughter. Olay Fresh Effects Powered Contour Cleansing System …

With Colleen’s new series coming out this year, and the hints that we will be visiting Egypt in these new stories I thought it would be fun to check out some fun ways to pull together an Egyptian make up look. When you go see Colleen her during her tour or other events this year these looks would be so fun to wear! So sharpen your black eyeliner and find some teal and gold eyeshadow and start practicing. There are so many fun ways to create your Egyptian look. As long as you have a good black eyeliner and …
Blushing ***Prize***
Blushing is an involuntary response. It’s the way your nervous system responds to an emotional situation. Maybe you blush when that cute guy in your class catches you stealing a glance in his direction. Wooosh…and your cheeks turn pink. Embarrassing, but now you look super pretty. We also get flushed and rosy when we exercise or when a cold wind bites our cheeks in Winter and Fall. Which ever way it happens it makes us look alive, and it’s one of those visual clues that can hint to what were thinking about. How can you get that natural pink glow in …

Sedona Arizona a city in Red
My family and I took a summer vacation to Sedona Arizona. It’s only 4 hours away, and we loved every moment of this tiny touristy city. If I could choose one word to describe the vacation it would be “peaceful.” We rented a home with spectacular views and a 15 minute hike down to the refreshing Oak Creek where we played and slid down the rocks. The Sedona Vacation Home we rented was a home away from home with a large professional gas stove, huge restaurant sized fridge and freezer, laundry downstairs, comfy beds for all, and the kids bedrooms were in the basement with …
Lips Lips Lips *PRIZE*
Nothing is more girly than lip gloss and lipstick. We feel sweet in a pale pink lip gloss and powerful in a bright red lipstick. There are so many colors, and formulas to choose from and to know what you look best in you have to try many. How to Pick the Right Red Lipstick The one rule I feel needs to be followed is that you pick only one facial feature to highlight. So either you have bright bold lips and minimal eye makeup or daring eye make-up and a pale or nude lip. Bold Lip Looks Daring Eyes …
Real Beauty from a Girl with a Rare Genetic Skin Condition
As I study out new techniques, new products, watch reviews, and read articles on beauty every once in a while I find an article that touches my heart. A story about a girl suffering from ace around her face but then it disappeared with the help of www.SkinHelpers.com. I couldn’t help it but to relate with my daughter. There is something wonderful and inherently beautiful about every single one of us. I don’t think we take the time often enough to shush the “mean voice” inside of us that picks on the girl in the mirror. My first …
Out with the Old Make-Up
It’s a new year and time to organize a bit and refresh your life. Why not make your make-up bag a fun new project. Make-Up does expire. In fact I was surprised how quickly make-up does expire and you need to toss it even if you love it. I can’t believe that gel eye liner should be tossed in two months after opening. Geesh! Expired Make-Up 101 Make Up Expiration Dates Foundation: 3-12 months. I normally go through a foundation between 6-12 months so unless it smells funny or separates I will keep until it’s gone. I keep all …
