Word Clouds: How to Turn Your Books Into Art
How to Turn Your Books Into Art I’ve had a lot of fun playing with word clouds on a website called Tagul. It’s pretty easy to turn your book into art for your readers, and it doubles as an editing tool by letting you see how many times you’re using those pesky repetitive words, such as always, like, and very. Here’s How it Works Once you finish your manuscript, open the website and click create. Import your text where it says “words” and scan through the list. The program automatically eliminates apostrophes so you’ll have to manually delete all the …
Summer Gift Pack
It’s here! I know you’ve been waiting for this one and I’ll admit, I’ve been putting it off on purpose. I’ve had to collect some stock, you see, and it’s taken me a while. Now this one’s going to be more expensive than my other gift packs. The reason for this is because the hardback is now out of print. You should also note that this one is offered only until my supplies run out. I don’t have many and they were really hard to find. I had to search far and wide and had to pay a pretty penny …
The Tiger’s Dream Pre-Launch Party!
For all of my fans who wished they could have attended the pre-launch party for Tiger’s Dream but didn’t get to, here’s my party report. Lucky for me, I had a trusted team of friends and relatives to make it all work including my hubby, my mom, two sisters, and two friends. Two handled the tickets, one sold books, my sister, Linda, was the emcee, while my other sister ran the PowerPoint for the game. We started out with a word search. If you’d like doing those, here’s a copy you can print out. We had around eighty fans in …

The Essential Valentine’s Day
The Essential Valentine’s Day Though Kelsey had never gone out for Valentine’s Day prior to her adventures in India, she noted the day was particularly special for her parents. When she was young, she used to watch her mom primp in front of the mirror on Valentine’s Day, noticing she’d begin several hours before her father was even due home from work. On one such occasion her mom laughed as she powdered Kelsey’s nose, and remarked, “Valentine’s Day is important, Kelsey. It’s the day you celebrate your relationship with just one special person.” “Will I ever do that?” a …
Tiger’s Curse Extended Scene-Epilogue
This is the original epilogue from Tiger’s Curse the self-published version. Epilogue Shadow The immaculately dressed man stood at his penthouse office window. He gazed upon the city lights far below and clenched his fist. How do you find one small person in a city of millions, let alone a world of billions? He sneered. He lived in a city of twenty-nine million people, the most densely populated city in the world. His office was in the most expensive, tallest building in the city, as far away from the general populace as possible. It wasn’t that he had a phobia of the unwashed masses. He …
Tiger’s Curse Uncut Prologue
Tiger’s Curse Uncut Prologue Prologue The Curse The prisoner stood with his hands tied in front of him, tired, beaten, and filthy, but with a proud back befitting his royal heritage. The man seated before him on a lavishly carved, gilded throne was Lokesh, his future father-in-law. Lokesh wore a golden diadem on his head and had a gaudy jeweled ring adorning each of his broad, stubby fingers. Though his hair was still black, his beard showed signs of graying and fine wrinkles showed when he narrowed his eyes. The magnificent throne was draped with a rich purple brocade, …
